Cancer Cytopathological Finding Cellular smears composed of clusters and fascicles of cohesive cells, in syncitium and showing anisokaryosis. nuclei of single cells or stripped nuclei show malignant features.
Cancer Histopathological Finding Leiomyosarcomas show hypercellular interlacing fascicles of large spindleshaped or round cells with diffuse moderate to marked nuclear atypia, a high mitotic rate, atypical mitoses, single or multiple prominent nucleoli and tumour cell necrosis. Infiltrative borders and vascular invasion are also frequently seen.
