►    Mechanism of Drug Drug Interaction :  Additive nephrotoxicity would be anticipated if bacitracin were given systemically with other nephrotoxic drugs, particularly colistin, kanamycin, neomycin, polymyxin B, and streptomycin; such use should be avoided. Bacitracin is reported to enhance the neuromuscular blocking action of certain drugs, such as neuromuscular blockers and anaesthetics, if given during surgery or postoperatively.

►  Contraindication : (incase of oral bacitracin) co-administration with nephrotoxic agents or neuromuscular blocking agents
Ref :-   Book : Principle of Pharmacology (The Pathophysiologic Basis of Drug Therapy)    Page : 614   Edition : 3.
►  Mechanism of Action :   Bacitracin inhibits cell wall formation by interfering with dephosphorylation in cycling of the lipid carrier that transfers peptidoglycan subunits to the growing cell wall. There is no cross-resistance between bacitracin and other antimicrobial drugs.
