  ►    Mechanism of Drug Drug Interaction :  Galantamine is partially metabolised by the cytochrome P450 isoenzymes CYP2D6 and CYP3A4. Consequently its bioavailability may be increased by drugs that inhibit CYP2D6, such as quinidine, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, and paroxetine, and by those that inhibit CYP3A4, such as ketoconazole and ritonavir. Dose reduction of galantamine may be required when given with such drugs. ,
