  ►    Mechanism of Drug Drug Interaction :  Rifampicin decreased plasma concentrations after single and multiple doses of oral praziquantel to subtherapeutic levels. Carbamazepine and phenytoin have been reported to reduce the bioavailability of praziquantel. Chloroquine has been reported to reduce the bioavailability of praziquantel. Corticosteroids may be used to reduce the inflammatory reactions that often occur within 2 to 3 days of starting praziquantel therapy. Cimetidine has been reported to increase praziquantel bioavailability. ,
