►    Mechanism of Drug Drug Interaction :  Inhaled (volatile) anesthetics potentiate the neuromuscular blockade produced by nondepolarizing muscle relaxants in a dose-dependent fashion. 1. Nervous system depression at sites proximal to the neuromuscular junction i.e., central nervous system 2. Increased muscle blood flow i.e., due to peripheral vasodilation produced by volatile anesthetics, which allows a vasodilation produced by volatile anesthetics. 3. Decreased sensitivity of the postjunctional membrane to depolarization....enhancement of neuromuscular blockade by antibiotics eg, aminoglycosides.... effect of succinylcholine can be antagonized by adminsitering a small dose of a nondepolarizing blocker,
